The Lost Together Book Club | The Midlife/PeriMenopause Pick
This is the first month of our Lost Together Book Club where we figure out how to live the books we love — not in an imaginative day dreamy way but in a what next-kind of way. (Read this kick-off post if you missed it).
With this Book Club we’re asking how we can integrate what we read into our lives, play with the concepts that our favourite authors are talking about and actually try out some of their ideas to see if they work for us.
Just think of that moment when you’ve read something and you’ve thought “I must try that”, or “I mustn’t forget that”, or you realize that paragraph captured the very thing you need… and then nothing happens.
So each month over on Substack, we’ll take one idea from the book that we’re reading and try it on… and invite you to do the same.
Join us on Zoom where I’ll coach you around what came up for you, and see where the book took you. You just need to register below.
Our Midlife/Perimenopause Pick this month is:
In my coaching practice, I help women navigate the middle part of life – women in their 30s, 40s and 50s – thinking about where they are and what’s next. Often it feels like we do this alone, but there’s so much to be gained from doing it together.
This book – and many others emerging in this area — gave me so much hope that our approach to this period of our life is shifting. There’s the science behind hormones and dare I say it aging, but there’s also so much about how we navigate the changes in how we see ourselves and our worlds.
Read this to increase knowledge about perimenopause but also to bring in that part about how to feel about where you are now, and what’s next for you.
