Overwhelmed

One of the most common feelings we hear about is that of overwhelm.

It shows up everywhere right now as more of us are overloaded with not only responsibilities but also all the emotions that go with them. As we rush through our work lives, relationships, and even leisure time, under pressure to get more done and to achieve more, getting to a place of calm and clarity can feel more difficult than ever.

You might know you’re feeling overwhelmed when your thoughts begin to race and worry never leaves you. You feel forgetful and concentrating becomes difficult. You might have a sense of being frustrated, sad, irritable, or even helpless. You might feel fatigue in your body, tension in your muscles, and as your head hits the pillow you know you’re not sleeping tonight.

Though overwhelm is something we hate to endure, you’re not alone in this. It’s an ever more common human experience. Here we’ll explore some steps to help you acknowledge your feelings and in turn manage them.

Let’s discover some techniques to help you cope with overwhelm.

Guidance for Overwhelmed Days

Feeling overwhelmed in life?

Join us on Substack as we try to navigate through all we’re supposed to fit into our days and all the ways we’re supposed to be (so many things right now).

Overwhelm can leave us feeling stuck or doubting ourselves, lost in the noise of life or just turned around.

In this little corner of Substack, we explore how overwhelm shows up in our lives and how we’re approaching it.

We can sometimes get overwhelmed by our emotions. We feel flooded by them. We worry we feel too much, too keenly.

Sometimes we fear we’ll get overwhelmed by our emotions and so we shut them out completely. We don’t give them any space.

Explore how our emotions coaching sessions can help if you’re feeling flooded by all your emotions.
